In Chicago, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across Illinois, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Loyalty programs are common and worth joining if you are a regular.
Hours are published for 4 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 amβ4 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Chicago is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

βMove Alongβ offers a solid, tasty, and high-quality option for vegans, and the coffee is genuinely good. Unfortunately, the service experience made the visit much less enjoyable. This is essentially a coffee window. there is no seating at all. so I would expect the service to be quick and efficient. Instead, the line can become long and exhausting, with customers standing in the sun and with no shade. The biggest issue for me is that the staff seems to struggle to balance being warm and welcoming with being efficient. The cashier often engages customers in extended conversations while taking their orders. That may be pleasant for the person at the window, but when a long line is building up behind them, it creates a frustrating experience for everyone else. This morning, I stood in the sun for more than half an hour just to order a coffee. I realize that staying in the line was ultimately my choice, but by that point I had already invested so much time that walking away felt pointless. Itβs a shame, because the product itself is good, and the vegan options are genuinely appreciated. But for a coffee window with no seating, I would expect a much faster and more efficient servic

First time stopping by since living in the neighborhood to try some vegan donuts/pastries. This is the best donut I have ever had. The lady at the register was so nice and the drip coffee is perfect with a pastry. I will be back at least once a week!

Iβve driven past this spot and thereβs always people around the window so I had to stop by & see whatβs up! Got an iced decaf oat latte and itβs perfection. Itβs also unded $7! Amazing price for a 16oz iced latte in this economy. Balanced espresso and I love that it had a little foam on top. Will be back to try a brown butter chocolate chip cookie and another flavored latte next time, the menu looked so good!

Stumbled upon this place walking towards the West Loopβan absolute gem!!! I saw a line of people waiting and knew this must be a favorite. The barista was incredibly friendly & personable & made my drinks exactly to my liking. So kind; coffee was delicious. Will be returning :)

Update 4/25/26: Wow, the donuts here are amazing! I tried three today, wild blueberry caramel corn, raspberry rose, and lemon poppy seed, and every one of them was so good. Theyβre a nice, generous size but still light and not heavy at all. Also mostly vegan and gluten free. The frosting is really where all the flavor is, itβs bold and super well done, but not piled on or overwhelming. Just enough on top to make each one stand out ~~~~~~~ Great coffee and staff! Always friendly and they make great recommendations. As an aside, I recommend the pretzel croissant. Use the complimentary mustard. Thank me later.
